Home remedies for a sore throat: relief in a natural way

A sore throat can be uncomfortable and prevent us from coping with our daily lives in the normal way. Fortunately, there are a variety of simple and effective home remedies that can help us to relieve a sore throat naturally.

Gargle with warm salt water

Gargling with warm salt water is a tried-and-tested home remedy that is often recommended for sore throats. The salt water can help relieve a sore throat by reducing inflammation and killing germs. Simply mix a teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water and gargle with it several times a day.

Camomile tea

Camomile has anti-inflammatory properties and can help to soothe a sore throat as a home remedy. Prepare a camomile tea by steeping a camomile tea bag in a cup of hot water. Add some honey to enhance the flavour and drink the tea slowly for a soothing effect on the throat.
